"My inspiration for this game came while I was playing the Wii for the first time," says Steven Spielberg about the new game that he developed together with Electronic Arts for the Nintendo Wii. Boom Blox is meant to be appealing to kids and adults of all ages and the fact that Spielbergs unique ability of storytelling is a core element of the game may make this intention work quite well.
Boom Blox is designed to be a high energy game featuring - besides a wide range of activities - more than three hundred levels. An in-game editor gives players the possibility to develop their own game and build whatever they can think of.
Regarding to EA Boom Blox gives players a huge variety of options and combinations to customize their game on the Wii and they can interact and share their creativity via WiiConnect24.
The game will be released on May 6, 2008 but it can be pre-ordered here already.
Without doubt Stephen Spielberg is extraordinary successful in whatever he does and it can be expected that Boom Blox will be a big hit in the gaming scene.
The fact that he and Electronic Arts chose the Nintendo as the first gaming platform for their game may do more for the Wii in the future than just to boost its reputation in the future.

The numbers for the Wii games that were sold more than 1 million times until now are pretty impressing.
